History
Four years of history at university, most of them spent in the Middle Ages, and what I brought out of the archive is embarrassingly simple: history is stories. A king who lost his temper. A plague that came in on a ship. A wedding that started a war. A river crossed on the wrong day. And the best instrument anyone has built for telling a story is cinema. So the degree didn't send me to a museum. It sent me to the "camera".
The "camera"
Quotation marks because I don't own one. The pictures come out of a model instead of a lens, and the film business is still arguing about whether that counts. I understand the argument. I also notice that nobody asks a writer which pen. A tool is a tool. What you hire is the eye behind it, and mine was trained the slow way: seven years as a graphic designer, Adobe-certified, drawing logos, packaging, posters and a typeface before I ever cut a shot. I don't put a frame on screen I wouldn't hang on a wall.
The films
Since 2024: music videos for artists on Surfdog Records, spots for companies in Macedonia, missing shots built into a cinematographer's footage in Australia, a superhero promo for a former presidential candidate, a school's patron brought back for its jubilee. Some of it on my own, some of it under 351 Studio, credited where that's the case. All of it directed by me, remotely.
How I work
Alone, remotely, from Macedonia. Nothing moves until we've agreed on the references. Replies within a day.
